As some may have heard John had hernia surgery last month. Following the surgery, before he was discharged from the hospital, he had a massive stroke. Thankfully he was in the hospital but unfortunately he had significant blood flow loss to the right side of his brain leading to paralysis on the left side of his body. Over the last 3 weeks he has become stable and working toward recovery. There have been signs of regaining some mobility to the left side but still has a long journey ahead.
In addition to the hospital bills, he has to go to a rehabilitation facility to hopefully regain his mobility. We will also have to make accommodations (ramp, railings, hand bars, etc) to our house to make it more accessible for John.
To help with his recovery I have been at his side with him at the hospital. On top of this life altering event, I have lost my job while I’ve been at the hospital supporting John. All of the support and well wishes have been incredible and it’s amazing to hear.
If you are able to donate to help relieve the extensive financial stress that we are facing, anything is appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we please ask for you to keep positive wishes for John in your thoughts and please share this post.
Thank you so much,
The Sowden Family
