Support Patty’s Fight Against Cancer

Hey everyone,

My name is Justin, and I’m putting this opportunity together for my mom, Patty.

Earlier this year, our lives were flipped upside down. In January, Patty went to the ER for some health concerns. That visit led to a CT Scan where they found a large mass on her bladder and a referral to Urologist, Dr. Edward Kata. After some testing and follow-ups, she was diagnosed with both bladder cancer and lung cancer. Since then, she’s had two TURBT surgeries at AdventHealth Kissimmee Hospital and is now preparing for chemo and radiation regularly to treat a spot in her chest.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly hard time. My mom hasn’t been able to work since her diagnosis, and with no income coming in, it’s been an incredibly difficult time and struggle just trying to stay on top of bills and even basic living expenses.

If you’re from the Hunters Creek community, you probably know Patty. She’s worked as a server at Cracker Barrel for years and is one of those people who makes you feel right at home. Her regulars adore her — she’s always being stopped at Publix or out and about around town by people who just want to say hi. She’s that kind of person — warm, welcoming, and full of heart.

She’s spent her life taking care of others, and now she needs a little help.

I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover rent, utilities, food, and transportation while she goes through treatment. I just want her to be able to focus on healing without the added stress of wondering how she’s going to make it through the next couple months financially.
