Hello, my name is Mahmoud, and I’m from Gaza.

My life — like the lives of so many others here — has been turned upside down. I lost my beloved brothers in the war, and now I carry the heavy responsibility of caring for the children they left behind. I’m doing everything I can to give them a chance at life, safety, and a future. But I can't do it alone.

We used to live a peaceful and stable life in our four-story home, filled with love and laughter. I was fully focused on my education, working hard every day to build a better future. But now, everything is gone — our home was destroyed, our school reduced to rubble, and our lives scattered by the chaos of war. Moving from one place to another, just trying to survive, has become our daily reality.

My only hope now is to get these children out of Gaza to a place where they can live in peace and have the opportunity to grow up safely — something every child deserves. But the cost of leaving is immense. It takes about $5,000 to $7,000 per person to cover the expenses of travel, documents, and relocation. It’s an amount we simply cannot afford on our own.
