HELP OUR FAMILY REBUILD AFTER A DEVASTATING FIRE...
On April 30, 2025, our lives changed forever. Our apartment the home we built memories in for over four years was struck by lightning and went up in flames. In just moments, we lost everything.
We are incredibly grateful to be alive. Everyday we thanks God for that. We area faith filled, God fearing family, and while we trust there is a reason for everything, It is hard to see his plan right now through all this pain and exhustion.
My husband and I are doing the best to stay strong, but the truth is we are very tired. We haven't slept much, and the emotional weight of it all is crushing. Starting over from nothing is overwhelming. If you have ever been through something like this, you know how hard it is.
Right now, we have moved into a new apartment and we are NOT going back to our old place. We have been through so much being able to get back to something calling our home again. Getting here my husband and I have been living in a hotel and even sleeping in our car from time to time. We are so grateful for family that was able to drop everything and help us out.
We have 2 beautiful daughters our youngest is 6 , and our oldest is turning 14 soon. We even had to postpone her birthday, which broke our hearts she hasn't had a really birthday party since before COVID. She is an avid reader and even loves to crochet, But unfortunately had to throw away her bookshelf and even her supplies and even her books :( Our youngest also loves to reading she adores bath time and all crafts most of her toys are gone as well.
We're not used to asking for help, but right now, we really need it. We're trying to rebuild little by litte but it is so much. We've managed to get some mattresses for the girls, but we still need twin bed frames for the kids, the essentials like food groceries, we need a Full size mattress and frame as well. Cleaning supplies would be great and so much more. I can get some now but it is expensive.
We do try as a family to make the most of this crazy situation that we are in. As a family we sit down for dinner on the floor and we have a picnic and we talk about our day and we Pray before we eat. We Thank God for everything even this situation that we are in.
