ORTHODOX MISSION - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC FUNDRAISE

Similarly to how we did in 2022, We are humbly seeking help (raising funds for the upcoming year of 2024) for our missionary parish St. Seraphim of Sarov, in Bavaro-Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Soon, we'll have to vacate premises; where we are having our services since we self fund rent, electricity, and other costs of our humble space. Stopping our missionary work, liturgies, and the myriad of other services would be a huge setback for our rapidly growing orthodox community. Additionally, this would be disappointing to the many (new and future) locals who are being introduced to the Orthodox Faith and tradition.

Due to your generous donations, which helped us cover our premises overhead for year 2023; we were able to hold our holy liturgies every Sunday and for special feasts and have made some excellent progress within the community.

Due to your donations in 2022 we are truly starting to make inroads within the local community. Throughout 2022, the mission has been able to hold our weekly and Special Feast Liturgies; we continue to offer and present the holy mysteries (Sacraments) to our ever-growing faithful community and catechumens on the island.

Furthermore, the Orthodox community here has also humbly become involved on a day-to-day basis with the most vulnerable populations (orthodox and non-orthodox), helping them with essentials such as medical, food, and clothing needs.

Going into 2024 our mission to introduce the Orthodox Ancient Faith to those who are truly hungry, thirsty and willing to learn about the original faith from 33 A.D. does not change. More than that, due to the progress The Lord is showing we hope to integrate more into the various communities of this nation (Russian, Haitian, Dominican, American, Serbian, and many others) in an effort to bring as many beings to the faith as possible. Furthermore, we hope to become a mainstay hub for those who visit and/or are looking to move to this beautiful country.

De manera similar a como lo hicimos en 2022, estamos humildemente buscando ayuda (recaudando fondos para el próximo año 2024) para nuestra parroquia misionera San Serafín de Sarov, en Bávaro-Punta Cana, República Dominicana.

Pronto tendremos que desalojar las instalaciones; donde contamos con nuestros servicios ya que autofinanciamos el alquiler, la electricidad y otros costos de nuestro humilde espacio. Detener nuestra obra misional, nuestras liturgias y muchos otros servicios sería un gran revés para nuestra comunidad ortodoxa en rápido crecimiento. Además, esto sería decepcionante para los muchos locales (nuevos y futuros) que están conociendo la fe y la tradición ortodoxa.

Debido a sus generosas donaciones, que nos ayudaron a cubrir los gastos generales de nuestras instalaciones para el año 2022; Pudimos celebrar nuestras santas liturgias todos los domingos y en fiestas especiales y hemos logrado un excelente progreso dentro de la comunidad.

Además, la comunidad ortodoxa aquí también se ha involucrado humildemente en el día a día con las poblaciones más vulnerables (ortodoxas y no ortodoxas), ayudándolas con necesidades esenciales como medicamentos, alimentos y ropa.

Al entrar en 2024, nuestra misión de presentar la antigua fe ortodoxa a aquellos que realmente tienen hambre, sed y están dispuestos a aprender sobre la fe original del año 33 d.C. no cambia. Más que eso, debido al progreso que el Señor está mostrando, esperamos integrarnos más en las diversas comunidades de esta nación en un esfuerzo por traer a la fe a tantos seres como sea posible. Además, esperamos convertirnos en un centro principal para aquellos que visitan y/o buscan mudarse a este hermoso país.

На протяжении 2022 года миссии удавалось совершать еженедельные и специальные праздничные литургии; мы продолжаем предлагать и преподносить святые таинства (Таинства) нашему постоянно растущему сообществу верующих и оглашенных на острове.

Благодаря вашим пожертвованиям в 2022 году мы действительно начинаем проникать в местное сообщество. В течение 2022 года миссия имела возможность проводить еженедельные и особые праздничные литургии; мы продолжаем предлагать и преподносить святые Тайны (Таинства) нашей постоянно растущей верной общине и оглашенным на острове.

Кроме того, православная община здесь также смиренно стала ежедневно участвовать в работе с наиболее уязвимыми группами населения (православными и неправославными), помогая им с предметами первой необходимости, такими как медицина, еда и одежда.
