❤️Love for Lincoln❤️
On December 18th Lincoln Fisher Lenton arrived by c-section. Despite being 3 weeks early, Matt and Stacy were beyond excited to complete their family! Little did they know they would have a very emotional and difficult road ahead of them.
The first three weeks were spent in Boardman NiCu. They were told something was wrong, but didn’t exactly know what. He was placed on a feeding tube. He has had blood tests and X-rays. My brother and sister in law met with Genetics and ENT. He also went by ambulance to have a scope at another facility. On January 4th, he had a rough night breathing and was transferred to Akron Children’s main the next day by ambulance .
Since January 5th Lincoln is still at Akron Chrildren’s in Akron. They met with Genetics and ENT again. After several more tests it was determined that Lincoln has a deletion of his 12 chromosome. We don’t know the extent of this because Matt and Stacy are still waiting on genetic results. He is also still on a feeding tube and he will have another procedure at t he end of the week.
They divide their time between Akron and Salem. They go home through the week and spend time with Kennedy. They take her to her extra curricular activities and then they go back to the hospital. They are amazing parents! Matt is back to work and Stacy stays at the hospital with Lincoln. The time will come whenStacy has to return to work.
We are reaching out to ask for help while they go through this journey. They would never ask for help, but we are for them. They have insurance and were just able to apply for a secondary, because Lincoln is considered long term care. We would love to take some of the stress out of their lives and maybe worry a little less about the medical expenses.
We have cried together and as I type this I am crying for them. Your generosity will be appreciated more then you will ever know
