Let's help Daisy

My friend Daisy and her husband Pedro were hit with the horrible news that her husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, not even a year ago. They decided that they will fight this battle by doing absolutely everything the doctors recommend. From ongoing chemo, to surgeries. In turn leading to many hospital visits, and of course and extensive amount of medical debt. Nothing seemed to help him, instead he was getting worse, physically and mentally. He had been hospitalized for the past 6 months, while his wife took care of their home, fighting to maintain her job, caring for their one year old baby, and visiting him as often as she could. After much time he was finally told he only had days to live so he was transferred to a hospice care facility. Yesterday she woke up with the horror of losing her husband... Instead of celebrating father's day today with their daughter, Daisy has to spend the next days arranging her husbands funeral. Daisy and Pedro got married in 2019, in 2020 they had their beautiful daughter. Together they built a life, they were hard workers, they worshipped the Lord until the very end. She has stood faithful to Jesus through this hardship. She held her head up high, and has tried her hardest to maintain her goofy, loving and happy personality, despite this nightmare. But unfortunately the hardest part of it all, has now become reality. Today she has lost her foundation, head of house, her best friend, the love of her life... Now her and her daughter have been left to deal with this heartbreak, and a drowning list of medical debt. In his passing Pedro leaves behind his mom, his wife, their one year old daughter and his son in Colombia.

Mi amiga Daisy y su esposo Pedro recibieron la horrible noticia de que a su esposo le diagnosticaron cáncer en etapa 4, hace menos de un año. Decidieron que pelearán esta batalla haciendo absolutamente todo lo que recomiendan los médicos. Desde quimioterapia,  hasta cirugías. Esto conducto muchas visitas al hospital y por supuesto, una gran cantidad de deuda médica. Nada parecía ayudar en cambio estaba empeoraba su situación física y mental. Había estado hospitalizado durante los últimos 6 meses, mientras su esposa se ocupaba del hogar, luchaba por mantener su trabajo, y cuidar a su hija de un año. Lo visitaba lo más a menudo que podía. Después de mucho tiempo, finalmente le dijeron que solo le quedaban unos días de vida, por lo que fue trasladado a un centro de cuidados paliativos. Ayer amaneció con el horror de perder a su marido... En lugar de celebrar hoy el día del padre con su hija, Daisy tiene que pasar los próximos días organizando el funeral de su marido.

Daisy y Pedro se casaron en 2019, en 2020 tuvieron a su hermosa hija. Juntos construyeron una vida, fueron muy trabajadores, adoraron al Señor hasta el final. Ella se ha mantenido fiel al Señor a través de esta dificultad. Mantuvo la cabeza en alto y ha hecho todo lo posible por mantener su personalidad amorosa y feliz, a pesar de esta pesadilla. Pero, lamentablemente, la parte más difícil de todo ahora se ha hecho realidad. Hoy ha perdido a su fundación, cabeza de familia, su mejor amigo, el amor de su vida... Ahora ella y su hija han tenido que lidiar con esta angustia y una lista abrumadora de deudas médicas. Tras su fallecimiento, Pedro deja atrás a su madre, su esposa, su hija de un año y su hijo en Colombia.

Por favor, ayúdenos a quitarle un peso de encima en su momento de necesidad.
