CoRy Wyszynski's Emergency Surgery

We're in the middle of what's been a long journey. If you're just joining us, welcome! If you're old hat at this, welcome back. Thanks to everyone for being here for CoRy Wyszynski. If you had access to the last fundraiser, it will remain open. Feel free to give there too. This fundraiser is dedicated to an upcoming surgery. Read more below.

 

 

CoRy is getting surgery for tethered cord syndrome at Stanford this November. This is good news, but only one stage of this much bigger path towards CoRy's well-being. This spinal surgery is the first of two, possibly three, surgeries. While we are being realistic, we're also feeling grateful and hopeful as we move through this stage.

The surgery will take place at Stanford, so Greg and CoRy will drive to Northern California (CoRy cannot travel by airplane) mid-November. Greg will stay in an AirBnB for 14 days while CoRy is between the AirBnB, the hospital, and the clinic. Pre-op is on Nov. 10th. Surgery is on the 15th. And post-op is on the 24th.

We've estimated the costs that include AirBnB, car rental, gas, and the part of the surgery that insurance does not cover and came up with our goal of $9,500. This is assuming that insurance will cover most of the cost of the surgery, the hospital stay, and anesthesia. But, sadly, that is yet to be confirmed. If insurance does not cover, he will still get the surgery - it's literally vital - and the cost will go up considerably. We are launching this campaign, hoping for the best in this matter.
