Last Thursday night, Cara Anne was brutally attacked by her boyfriend during a common dispute. He proceeded to grab a can of gasoline, dump it on her and then pour a trail to the fire pit that they were sitting around trying to enjoy. That fire then erupted and caught her lower extremities on fire as well.

Her boyfriend at the time is now in custody and awaiting trial.

She is suffering through having to spend some nights at the UCD burn center and the loss of her place to live as she can no longer stay with him for obvious reasons. During her rehabilitation period, she will not be allowed to work and will not be able to afford anywhere to live in the meantime. It's costed her countless dollars for medical care and moving costs already and it's only been 5 days.

We've collected Furniture to help get her started. But the cost of the medical care for her burns adds up as well as the loss of income and the obvious need of food and whatnot.

None of this should ever happen to anyone. Nobody should ever lay a finger on someone they care for. Domestic abuse effects more than just your body. It's effects your mind and spirit.

Please help Cara Anne through this difficult time. Even if it's just a couple bucks, as a community, we can take a stand against someone being abused and help her get back on her feet to put that psychopath and dark times clearly in her rear view mirror.
