On November 27, 2019 Bonnie Montgomery had a devastating house fire. She was life flighted to UNMC and then quickly transported to the burn unit at St. Elizabeth's, where she remained for three months undergoing extensive medical treatments for her burns and smoke inhalation. She still has a very long road to recovery ahead of her. Unfortunately during her sedation and injuries her health insurance was terminated and is now left with no medical coverage. Without health coverage she was no longer eligible to remain in the hospital or have crucial rehabilitation services. She is not able to return to her beloved home as it is still uninhabitable and she still requires around the clock care. We have found a care facility that we are praying she will be accepted into. With no insurance and fixed income (Medicaid has been applied for but the wait is up to three months) the hefty price for care facilities and numerous medications is taking a toll on her already fragile state. If you are able to help in anyway (a prayer, an fb share, or if you are able to donate) it is truly so greatly appreciated. From our family to yours, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
