Hello All,

The Backstory:
I'm raising money for my best friend, Shannon Carlson.  I've known her since junior high.  She is a sweet friend, who is always supportive of those around her.  She is also a hard-working woman who goes to her job every day at an eye doctor's office and takes care of her sick mother the rest of the time.

 Shannon sadly lost her father 4 years ago to cancer.  She has been devastated again as her mother has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer.  To make matters worse, she has not been able to get the family home put in her name since her and her husband earn just enough to get by.  If she isn't able to get financing, she will have lost her father, mother, her home, and her cats.

There's Still Hope:
I was hoping to raise enough money to pay off the balance on her credit card.  This will at least give her a fighting chance to get a loan to save her house.  Any extra money would go towards paying off the house itself.  She would need the funds soon so she could start applying for the loan.

This cause means a lot to me because Shannon is a kind, funny, hard working person.  She is an angel to everyone who knows her.  Someone like that doesn't deserve so much sorrow.
