Help for Jimmy

Jimmy got in touch recently asking for help. He has been in Canada for the past 4 years trying to get his citizenship, so that he can bring his family over to live there. During the 18 years he worked in Bermuda he sent all his money home to pay his kids’ education and to buy some land and build a home outside Bangladesh. Not long after the house was complete it was destroyed, and his family attacked because they are Christians. His kids have excelled at their studies, and are now in university. He has always worked hard and never looked for handouts, but a wrist and shoulder injury that he sustained in his last weeks in Bermuda (he came off his bike due to being hit by a drunk driver) has led to him having a shoulder replacement in Canada in October. As a result he has not been able to work for the past 4 months. His court hearing for his citizenship comes up next week and it will cost $3000 in lawyers fees. On top of the 4k he already paid for an unsuccessful hearing 2 years ago, and his kids’ university fees, he just doesn’t have the money. In the past 4 years he has obtained a work permit and has been working in his brother in law’s restaurant in a Toronto suburb. He hasn’t seen his family in 4 years, and If he doesn’t get his citizenship he can’t bring them over to start a life in Canada all together. He can't return to Bangladesh because the people who destroyed his house have it out for him. Jimmy deserves a break. He’s a good man, a family man, and a hard worker. Please contribute what you can.
