Update – September 2025

Hi friends

It’s been a while since my last update, and a lot has happened these past few months.

✨ Chemo: DONE!
I officially finished chemo this summer, and scans showed it was very effective . That was a huge relief and a big win in this fight.

☁️ The Side Effects:
Of course, it didn’t come without its challenges — skin issues, mucositis, bone pain, fatigue, and the usual rollercoaster of energy levels. It hasn’t been easy, but each day I’m getting a little stronger and closer to feeling like myself again.

Next Steps:
The next big milestone is surgery on October 2nd. I’m nervous but ready to take this step forward and continue moving toward healing. Depending on the outcome, there may still be more treatment ahead, but this is the big one we’ve all been waiting for.

Thank You:
I’ve made it this far because of the incredible support from family, friends, and this community. Your donations, encouragement, and shares have kept me afloat — financially and emotionally — when my safety net was gone. I can’t thank you enough.

With gratitude,
Ashe

Ashley’s “Let’s Kick Cancer in the Face” Fund

Well… I didn’t exactly have “fight cancer” on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are.

I’m currently battling through chemo — just two more rounds to go (hallelujah) — which means I’ll finish this phase by the end of August. Then comes the exciting sequel:
• September: Imaging and pre-op appointments
• Early October: Surgery #1 (and possibly Surgery #2 a couple weeks later if pathology says so)
• Post-surgery: Recovery, followed by 6–8 weeks of radiation (five days a week), plus a casual year of immunotherapy because apparently cancer treatment is an endurance sport

What this all means: a lot of medical bills, a lot of time I can’t work, and a lot of prescriptions my insurance looks at and says, “Good luck with that!” We’re talking hundreds of dollars for creams to keep my skin from falling off, extra travel for appointments, parking fees that cost more than my lunch, and the basic cost of existing while being temporarily useless.

Your donations will help cover:
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Prescription meds that keep me functioning and (mostly) not feral
• Transportation, parking, and recovery needs
• Everyday bills while I’m stuck being a professional patient
• And maybe — just maybe — a quick weekend getaway with my partner Nate and our dog before surgery, so I can remember what joy feels like

If you can’t donate, sharing this page or sending funny memes, dog videos, or gift cards for snacks I can actually taste is also amazing.

Every bit of support helps me keep fighting, keep healing, and keep my sense of humor in one piece. Thanks for being in my corner while I go full Mortal Kombat on this thing.
