My name is Shayla Defils, I am the mother of T'Saun Defils.

My son is 20yrs old and was diagnosed with Avelar rhabdomyosarcoma February 2022. What started off as mild headaches led to him getting an emergency CT scan that found a large mass in his sinus area and led him to completely lose his vision in both eyes. Although vision in one eye returned at 40%, it was confirmed as cancer. He just graduated from high school July 2021. His life had just started. He worked 2 jobs and was looking forward to culinary college. He beat the cancer in his head by Aug 2022 but it spread to his bones(hip and chest) soon after. He went from 135lbs to 85lbs. The doctors say there is nothing else they can do so hospice has taken over and is making him as comfortable as possible until the end. T'Saun is our first born son of three boys. Our family is devastated and heartbroken. To know him is to love him. Always positive and happy. He loves anime, video games, animals, and cooking His heart is pure and his spirit is untainted. He is still very optimistic and fighting until the end. We are asking for help with medical bills and anything he may need until. Anything helps.
