My name is Edison Cruz and I’m fundraising for Mr. Miguel Bohorquez and his family. Let me tell you his story. Mr. Bohorquez arrived in United States on December 16, 2021, seeking political asylum. He was force to flee his native Colombia after receiving threats to him and his family. Mr. Bohorquez a veteran of Colombia Air Force received these threats when he refused to participate an organized crime ring that was trafficking drugs through use of commercial aircraft.
- On August 27, 2022, Mr. Bohorquez was picking up his wife Mrs. Paola Grandes and their new born son Dominic Bohorquez from Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. As Mr. Bohorquez left the hospital he was struck by a vehicle on 1000 block of Miami Ave. City Miami PD Case # 22-08300061335. The vehicle black in color SUV fled the scene, leaving Mr. Bohorquez with severe injuries to his left leg, in which he will have to endure multiple surgeries. Mr. Boherquez has a long road to recovery, between surgeries and therapy. He is his family’s only provider and will be out of work for a significant time. Let’s help him get back on his feet.
