Help Nathan Fight FND, a Neurological Disorder

Hello everyone,

My name’s Nathan, and I’d like to introduce myself. I’m an advocate for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a neurological disorder that affects how the brain and body send and receive signals.

This is a condition I also suffer from. For the past four years, I’ve been struggling with my FND, which has been a debilitating experience. My condition has progressively impacted every aspect of my daily life. Without a local support network, gaining crucial support has been even more challenging.

Recently, my condition has taken a turn for the worse. Despite many hospital stays, the NHS seems to be unable to offer the support needed to prevent my condition progressing further. It’s been a never-ending nightmare the past few months leading to further stress and strain, the lost and lack of quality of life, my independence and living in a constant state of limbo due to the lack of answers and care I’m receiving.

I’m currently on the waiting list to see a neurologist, but this is a lengthy process, which further adds to my concern as my condition worsens daily. I need answers and support. My doctor has now advised me to go private, which is something I can’t afford.

I’m reaching out for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, this will go a long way in helping me gain the answers, care and support I desperately need and improve my health and quality of life.
