Our friend, Jim Lund, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was visiting family in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN. while his wife and children were back home in El Paso, TX.

Marcela, his widow, is left with three children: Sophia 14, Thomas 8 and Camila 6. Jim also left a surviving son, in college, from a previous marriage, Matthew (Mateo) 21.

Jim’s family has been left with both tremendous grief as well as a serious financial burden. Marcela is now a single mother and at risk of losing the forever home she and Jim were building.

This home has experienced several major construction setbacks as well as litigation issues. For two years, Jim and Marcela have been working on this house and it is still in the mid stages of construction. To add pressure to our dear friend Marcela, the property now has a mechanics lien, a legal claim “hold” against the property filed by an unpaid contractor.

Marcela is in desperate need of saving the home in which they were going to retire. As friends and family our goal is to help her in any way we can to save her forever home and not worry about how she will care for her children in the coming weeks, months and years as she transitions into a life without Jim.
