Hi. My name is Matt. I don't usually like to do this, but I am at a point in my life where I have to throw away my pride and take what I can. Pride doesn't pay the bills, after all.
About Me:
I graduated college in December of 2019, and since then, the world has decided to just constantly be falling apart. Whether it be COVID, recessions, tariffs, AI takeover, or whatever, it's been rough for all of us.
But I think it's been a little especially rough for me. Without going too into detail, I was forced to move out of my childhood home at the end of 2020 and live on my own. I've done what I had to do to survive. But somehow, I've been unlucky enough to have been laid off in 2021, 2022, and now at the end of September in 2025.
In order to keep paying my bills, I've had to completely empty my 401k. My bank account is essentially empty. I have thousands and thousands of dollars worth of credit card debt from paying rent while unemployed because unemployment only pays $1600/month, and my monthly expenses are nearly double that when you're talking rent, car payment, student loans, food, gas, electricity, etc.
I own pretty much nothing. I'm going to do my best to sell off some of what I have left, but it's not going to be enough. So I'm here to ask for help in any shape or form possible.
Truth be told, I would rather have someone give me a job that pays enough to cover my living expenses than take donations from people; but again, pride doesn't pay the bills. I do have my homemade hot sauces and barbecue sauces available for purchase if you would rather buy something than just send a donation. I also have one bottle left of my homemade fruited and carbonated mead. I will be looking to sell off some of my sneakers as well. If you're into Jordans/Nikes/Yeezys and wear a size 9 or 9.5 in men's, let me know if you might be interested.
No matter how you choose to help me (if you do), I will be eternally grateful, and you can be sure I'll never forget it and will do my best to pay it forward when I'm financially stable enough to do so.
Thank you.
