Hi, I hope everyone is doing great. I am doing okay, as best I can anyways. After years of trying to determine what was going on with me, they finally figured it out.
On December 23rd, I got confirmation from my doctor that I have multiple sclerosis. The medicine used to slow the progression of this will severely weaken my immune system. I was working at the Waffle House, and if I continued, I would be putting my life at risk, so unfortunately, I had to end my employment of 10+ years.
I've applied for aid through the state until I can get federal disability, and the aid that's allocated through the state is $248 a month???
I really am asking to get some help until my federal disability is approved. It's disheartening that the choices I have are to continue working and let the disease do what it's going to do, or take the medicine and quite literally live in a bubble, if I can afford a bubble, and lose everything I've worked hard for. I'm not asking for a lot; I just need to stay above water so I don't drown. Anything anyone can do would be appreciated. Much love to all, and I hope everyone is doing well. And thank you for your generosity....
