Trying to meet rent and bills

So some of you know my life has been in a bit of an upheaval for the past year. If you know the story feel free to skip to bottom line in bold below.

For those who don't, the company I worked for over the course of 20+ years was purchased and eventually I was laid off. I did get a severance package which I tried to handle judiciously, though I did take 2 months off as I hadn't had a vacation (other than staycations) in a couple years. The severance now long gone. I (foolishly) never applied for unemployment, feeling like its a finite resource and others needed it more than I did.

In January I started to look for work in earnest, with steadily increasing ferocity. Many people I know have reached out to contacts in the industry and tried to help. I'm very grateful for the outpouring of support.

In addition for reasons my of my own, in May, my wife and I separated. I moved out of the house and got an apartment. We are amicably working out the divorce details, trying to impact our daughter as little as possible.

Meanwhile the job hunt, well, its not gone smooth. I have not gotten a ton of calls and only one, in person interview. I have to say I am a bit shocked, I thought with my level of experience and time in the field and obvious ability to commit to an employer, that things would be easier. Unfortunately there are gaps created when you hang your hat in one place and the industry moves forward, and you aren't exposed to some of the new technology, techniques, and software.

Bottom line.
So, I screwed up. Maybe I should have barely furnished the apartment, maybe I should have done a lot of things different. I didn't. I did what I thought would work. I was advised by council, with the divorce coming I needed a decent home if I was to have any hope of my kid being here. All said and done I didn't spend a lot but if I had not gotten the couch etc maybe I could have had one more month. Which brings us to this.

I'm not going to be able to make rent or my bills this month. Which means sometime after the first of the month services will start getting turned off and I will get evicted. I would not have turned to this but I have no one and nothing to lean on. My family and I are estranged. No guy friends locally that might let me mooch a couch or a spare bedroom to get on my feet. My ex is helping how she can but there are limits there.

So I'm asking, if you can contribute something, please do, it may help to keep me afloat long enough for a job. I have been applying for anything IT related I qualify for, driving recruiters up the wall etc. Now, I am looking to other fields too. In the early 90's I drove forklift so have applied for a couple of those positions, though I don't know if I will luck out and get one considering there don't seem to be many listings there either. I can't relocate because of my kid, custody, and its her last year of school and with her HS/College dual enrollment I couldn't just uproot her even if I had sole custody (which isn't likely to happen).

My pantry is well stocked other than the usual frequent purchases (milk, kids lunch stuff, etc) so 99% of my needs are Rent, Electric, Insurance (car and renters), Internet, Phones, and gasoline/auto upkeep. The goal I have set would get me 1 more month. Please if you have it, would you consider giving me a hand. I just want to be able to make ends meet while I look for work.
