I want to pay my stepdad's houseoff

I am a 73 year old vietnam vet who is a blue water navy vet who gets no compensation from the va because i never had as they call it boots on the ground.
I was over there from 1966 to 1968. I served on the USS Kennebec AO -36
I have type ii or 2 diabetes i lost all five of my toes on my left foot this year.
I am going to the va medical center to see about a toe extension for my left foot. I get all my medication and insulin from the va but still have to pay co pay for them my right foot was broken a couple of years ago because of my diabetes i had to wear an external fixator for six months. Which was very painful.
I had to go to a private hospital for the amputation of my toes because my va where i live does not do surgery no more because of cutbacks at the va.
I lost my wife and my stepson's mother a few years ago to a rare illness called guillan barre.
My son tries to help me with bills but there is only so much he can do. Our biggest bill is the house me and my wife bought several years ago we were never able to finish paying it and it's become a heavy burden.
I have a house bill that is five hundred 500 dollars at least every month and if i am late on that bill they start charging interest and the interest has really racked up and made the total for the house higher. I would like to find a way if at all possible to completely pay the house off. I have tried to get loans or something to pay it off but since the house is not on a foundation they will not lower the bill or give us a loan to help lower the monthly bill and i only make so much a month and the bills all of them together are more than what i make a month.
If anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
