I don’t usually post stuff like this, but my family’s been going through a lot lately, and I wanted to see if anyone might be able to help — or even just share this around.

My mom works full-time retail and takes care of my little brother and sister on her own. After the death of her ex-husband, she’s been raising them by herself and doing her best to hold things together. It hasn’t been easy — especially lately.

A couple of months ago, she had to have major surgery due to a serious infection. They ended up removing about 12 inches of her intestines, and she’s been recovering for months while working. She’s got another surgery coming up in a couple of weeks to hopefully reverse it and move forward, but it’s been strenuous.

On top of that, just a few days ago, she took my little sister Lily to the skate park for a small celebration for working hard to help them move to a new apartment, and Lily ended up falling and breaking her arm really badly. It might need surgery; they’re still checking. Either way, it’s a tough injury and adds a lot more stress.

Right now she’s trying to keep up with bills — it’s just a lot at once. I’m setting this up to try and take some of the weight off her shoulders. Any funds would go toward medical bills, groceries, basic cost of living — just to give her some breathing room.
