I am a carpenter with a wife and two dogs. When I'm not working I enjoy cooking, I like to read and tinker with technology. I help my neighbors in times of need like when all our basements flood, I blow out tubes and relight everyone's water tanks and furnaces. I also donate all of my hardwood cutoffs to Arts and Scraps to be used in their children's programs.
I don't do it for glory or praise. I just like doing the right thing.
I need this money for a couple of major home repairs. We are in desperate need of a furnace & sump pump.
We got this house at an auction. The heating unit was stolen from the property!
My wife & I are not young people. Chopping wood for fires is no longer a viable solution.
We've recently had a chimney fire. The rebuilt chimney still needs a liner.
I mentioned earlier that I am a carpenter and I work out of my basement. Every time it rains, there is a flood in my workshop. Sometimes it's just standing water. There have been instances of raw sewage in my workshop. This compromises my families' health and my ability to make a living.
Your gifts of kindness will be used to get some type of heating unit for the house. If there is enough left over I will get a sump-pump for the basement.
We live in Michigan, Winter will be here soon and it's getting COLD!!! I'm hoping we can get help before we freeze. This would mean being able to stay in our own home with our furry children this Winter.
It is humbling to have to ask for help in such a public manner but my back is against the wall. It's just been a very tough year for us financially. We would be so grateful for any help you could find in your heart to provide. All of you who know me know that I always drop everything and help the best I can when anyone appeals to me.
