My name is Sarah Morley from Briar Hill, Danby. As some will know the Butters family recently made their long awaited return to Danby after travels to America, renting Sue Hobbs’ and late husband Brian’s property on Briar Hill.

I am sure you will have heard the tragic events of Monday 19th January when an accidental fire robbed the family of all their possessions, Job the family’s house rabbit, and Sue and sons their former family home. Mercifully there was no loss of human life!

Given that the Butters were in between house insurances they literally have only the clothes they fled in on Monday night.

As so many people have expressed a wish to help we have set up this go fund me page in the hope we can raise funds to help Chris, Pam and their beautiful girls, Hannah and Lilly (both former Danby School pupils) to restart their lives.
