Jacob Hayes - A Trust Fund for Evan, Finn & Mollie

On March 24th, we said goodbye to a member of our KLS Family.  Jake Hayes passed away after a brave, 12 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Jake joined the KLS Family in 2009 and quickly made his mark. He revamped the Alabama Territory into a perennial top performer. In a business where relationship building is vital, Jake was one of our best at the craft. His genuine care for his customers was palpable in his daily interactions. He had personal connections with all his customers. They absolutely loved him.

If you knew Jake, you had a great friend. He’d make you laugh with his southern charm, would enlighten you on trivia you often wondered “how does he know that?”… always had a good restaurant suggestion, would offer insight on how to improve your territory or maybe provide a suggestion on how to connect with that illusive customer. Without exception, he always made you feel appreciated by doing something special to show his gratitude. He loved giving gifts and could spend hours researching the “perfect gift” for someone.

Jake had a deep appreciation for his “KLS Family.” Whether you were on the Southeast Team or across the country, in the Home Office or Manufacturing, he appreciated all those that played a role in his success and praised you to the end.

He leaves behind a beautiful family. His amazing wife Allison “Allie,” and 3 incredible kids, Evan and Finn (7 yr/old twins) and Mollie (3). Tuesday night they said goodbye to their hero.

There have been numerous inquiries on ways to recognize Jake and help lift his family during this difficult time. Anything you do to express your condolences will be meaningful to his family. One suggestion has been to collect funds for a contribution towards a Trust for his kids on behalf of the KLS family. If you have interest in making such a contribution, this GoFundMe link has been established.

Jake wanted the best for his kids. He would have done anything possible to extend his time with them. Needless to say his time on Earth was far too short. In a time like this, it’s near impossible to find the right words or even a gesture that can comfort those that are hurting. But in the spirit of Jake, this is a way his “KLS Family” can help out 3 little people that were so dear to his heart.

Thanks in advance for your condolences and generosity. Even a little goes a long way.
