Supporting the Seppala Family in Loving Memory of Baby Truett
On August 16th, Hope and Lando Seppala welcomed their precious son, Truett, into the world. Soon after birth, Truett was diagnosed with a serious heart condition requiring open-heart surgery at just 10 hours old to reconnect his pulmonary veins to his heart.
For four weeks, Truett fought bravely in the ICU as his family stood faithfully by his side. Despite the incredible efforts of his care team and the love surrounding him, Truett passed away on Friday, September 12th.
Hope and Lando are now walking through unimaginable heartbreak while also caring for their two-year-old daughter, Peyton. In addition to their grief, they are facing the heavy burden of medical bills, funeral expenses, and lost wages from time spent at the hospital.
Hope is the daughter of Santa Barbara County Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Klusyk and his wife Holly, and the Santa Barbara County Firefighters Benevolent Foundation is honored to sponsor this fundraiser to support the Seppala family during this devastating time.
Every contribution will go directly toward helping Hope, Lando, and Peyton cover medical costs, funeral arrangements, and the practical needs of daily life as they navigate this profound loss.
Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping the Seppala family in your prayers. Your support is a meaningful way to stand beside them and honor Truett’s memory.
With gratitude,
