Truesdell Middle School Orchestra Kits

Hello! My name is Danny Ibarra and I am the orchestra teacher at Truesdell Middle School in Wichita, KS.
As we all know the pandemic has created financial hardships across the world and in our own communities. This fundraiser will benefit the orchestra students who cannot afford the books and materials needed to be successful in class. Truesdell Middle School is the largest middle school in Kansas and 89% of the students are economically disadvantaged.
I believe music education should be accessible to all students. To help my students be successful I will use these funds to build "orchestra kits" that will include a book, shoulder rest/rock stop, and rosin. Each kit will cost around $25-$30 to make. Any extra funds will be used to make kits for the 2021-2022 school year.
With these materials, my students and their families will not have to stress about extra fees and will be able to learn how to play their instruments and learn about all the joys of music making.
