true vine future
Over the past 17 years, The True Vine has worked hard to create a space where people who love music can find not only the music they love, but other people who love music. We're proud to have made our mark in Baltimore's thriving music community. We faced a challenge when we had to leave Hampden, but found a new home in Station North and for a while things were really smooth.
Then, of course, covid hit.
The True Vine made it through the past 18 months thanks to a supportive, understanding landlord and the efforts of terrific, deeply loved volunteers who helped us keep going because they believe Baltimore needs physical stores where people can explore their interests and relationships with other fans. To raise cold hard cash to keep us going, I sold some of my personal musical instruments & records online. We thought we had reached a turning point and things were starting to pick up.
Then, of course, the Delta Variant hit.
Business dropped way down again, and this time I don't have the personal resources to get us through. I'm asking for help because I believe The True Vine has an important role in post-covid Baltimore, and I hope our community does too.
This gofundme is for the future survival of true vine. All money Will go towards back rent, back payment to consigners & near future rent through this delta tunnel.
