I am reaching out to you because we are all a part of Trudy’s life.  I wanted to share her story with you all.


As you know, Trudy is a genuine, caring, and loving person who has made an impression on everyone she has met.  She's a 20 year veteran educator who has dedicated her life to moving her students forward.  Trudy has a wonderful husband, Murray who has been by her side for 17 years and a young son Trey.  Five years ago she suddenly lost her daughter Maya to Lupus.  The family has been trying to pick up the pieces since losing Maya.


Last month, Trudy went in for a routine mammogram and received some devastating news.  She has intermediate stage breast cancer.  The doctor recommends that she has a masectomy on her left breast and will receive aggressive radiation and possibly chemo for her right breast.  If receiving the horrible news of breast cancer wasn't bad enough,  Trudy recently started a new teaching job in East Baton Rouge Parish and has to wait 60 from her start day until her coverages begin.  All current medical expenses now are being paid out of pocket and very costly.


Therefore, this GoFund me is to assist her with medical expenses, deductibles, copays, loss wages, and any other medical expenses acquired.  We are trying to raise $20,000 to cover these inevitable expenses.  Time is of the essence so, no amount is too small and any contribution you can give will be greatly appreciated.
