Dear Friends and fellow Alumni,

I am humbly asking for some help for a fellow alumnus and dear friend to many of us, who has fallen on some extremely difficult circumstances; Trudy Levenson, ‘78

She is currently undergoing treatment for her second bout of breast cancer, in her adopted home of San Diego, California. Trudy needs and wants to stay in San Diego because that’s where her doctors, her medical treatment centers, and her support system are located.

Tragically, Trudy lost her mother to Covid during the worst of the pandemic in 2021, and now her landlord has given her only until June to move out of the home she and her mother lived in for over 30 years! Locating affordable housing in San Diego is a huge hurdle, and she had been living in the same place with very few increases in the rent for the past three decades. She was blindsided by this action from her landlord and was left without any recourse. The situation is daunting and overwhelming. Now Trudy is ill, receiving treatment, and suddenly without a place to live. June is only six weeks away.

We are asking, if you are so able, to please help Trudy establish a support system to see her through these difficult times. It would be greatly appreciated. Prayers and positive vibes are most welcome too. The beauty of crowdsource fundraising is that much can be raised by small donations from many. Please consider helping a fellow St. Android through a painful transition and sharing our collective appreciation for what that wonderful school has bestowed on us all—humanity.
