In August this year, Trudy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Within days of her diagnosis, she had to travel to Brisbane for endless scans, tests and biopsies to begin treatment the very next week.

She is now facing months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, radiation and immunotherapy. It's a long road ahead - around 18 months of treatment and recovery, which takes a huge toll, both physically and emotionally.

To watch her go through the exhaustion, the pain and the changes that come with it has been incredibly hard, but through it all she continues to face each day with courage, grace and the same quiet strength that makes her who she is.

Despite everything, Trudy's positivity and determination never fades. She's an inspiration to all of us, and we couldn't more proud.
