It’s difficult to believe I’m even writing this. My grandmother, Trudy Olvera — the woman who made this entire family what it is — has gained her wings October 5, 2025. She was our strength, our foundation, and the reason love stayed alive in our home, no matter what life threw our way.

For the last few weeks, she fought so hard — in and out of the hospital, still smiling, still cracking jokes, still holding onto hope. A true warrior. That’s who she was: strong, fearless, and full of heart. But even the strongest souls need rest. She passed away suddenly, leaving us heartbroken and trying to piece together how to say goodbye.

My grandma lived her life with no regrets. She loved going to bingo, laughing with friends, and being surrounded by family. And now, as she joins her two children who’ve been waiting for her in heaven, we just want to honor her in the way she truly deserves — with a proper burial and memorial filled with love, peace, and dignity.

Unfortunately, her passing came so suddenly that her remaining children, who have been through so much already, simply don’t have the finances to cover the funeral costs. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need help to give her the farewell she earned through a lifetime of love and sacrifice.
