Truck Driver Involved in Overturn Accident

On July 21, 2020, my stepfather Terry was involved in a very serious rollover tractor trailer crash that left him critically injured, with multiple fractures in his ribs and vertebrae, a shattered scapula, broken clavicle, and punctured lung.  He is a self employed owner operator who mentors new drivers for the company he was leased to. On the night of the accident, his student miscalculated a turn and rolled the truck, burying it in an embankment. 
As a result of the injuries he sustained, he has endured over 20 days of hospital treatments, including 11 days in the ICU and surgery along with 3 chest tubes. Provided he is done with surgery, he is still looking at a 9-12 month recovery time in which he will be unable to work and provide basic necessities such as living accommodations as well as pay for the medical bills associated with his injuries as his occupational accident insurance only provides the first 90 days of treatment.
