My husband George has suffered 7 strokes since 2023, having to give up his CDL license as a local truck driver due to DOT guidelines. He was admitted to the hospital for his last stroke on August 19th. He had surgery on his carotid artery on August 26th due to lack of blood flow to his brain and unfortunately suffered a complication, leaving him hospitalized, partially unresponsive after several intubations, and paralyzed on his left side. hospital is heartbreaking (photo).

I'm his wife and now full-time caregiver while still having to work my own job with reduced hours and hardly any 401k left, having to withdraw from it constantly. It's been hard financially on me and my family as I have to split my time between working from home, the hospital, our mildly autistic son, and multiple bills piling up since I have a smaller biweekly income now and my husband's SSI disability check once a month.

I never thought I'd have to ask for help this way, but it's been hard financially to maintain my home that I will eventually have to bring my husband back to and care for with months of rehabilitation and therapy as well as monthly bills such as mortgage and utilities.
