Hi, my name is Joan …..Braille is a seven-year-old golden retriever. She came to me, at three years old, from a beautiful friend. I fell in love at first sight, and she has been an inspiration to everyone that meets her. She was named by a young boy, who is blind, from a Dr. Seuss book titled, “ I CAN SEE WITH MY EYES SHUT”.

She is everything that her name describes.

She brings strength, comfort and unconditional love to everyone that meets her.

Our lives were shattered when she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor

called Meningioma a tumor

that is growing in her brain. Her diagnosis with only medication is at best 4 months…..

We were referred to Angell Memorial Hospital in Boston that gave us a ray of hope….

With radiation treatment of three visits, the tumor is expected to shrink and give her another two - three years of quality life.

Needless to say it is very expensive. I have never asked for any help in my life, but if you could all find it in your heart to help Braille in her medical needs

we would be so ever grateful……
