My name is Phyllis Beaulieu and I live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. My 48 year old son, who also lives here in Yellowknife, was just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago and must go to Edmonton at the end of this month for surgery. We are asking for any financial help possible for him and his wife Joanne while they are away from home. He also has medications now that are not covered by insurance and has been having a difficult time keeping his meds on hand. Please give what you can. His daughter will be at home looking after 4 young children while they are away. He is currently on social assistance so any financial help would be so grateful.
Anyone willing to help; they will need the money by the end of this month as Troy needs to be in Edmonton on the 28/29th for workup appointments prior to surgery. The money can be used to assist the family staying behind and to help with room and board while my son and his wife are in the city.
