In loving memory of Troy Kempton, we have set up a fund to support Avery Kempton's college education. Avery is Troy's pride and a true joy. Avery's school records and national level team robotics competitions are one's that Troy boasted about, but what's evenly impressive is that Avery walks closely in his father's footsteps in so many of the ways we loved Troy. With Troy's passion for the outdoors and health, and Avery's mom, Katy, nurturing and caring work, Avery has grown into a well rounded, academically driven young man that has so much to bring to the world ahead of him. Outside of the outdoor adventures, gardening, and quest for healthy living that Troy immersed Avery in, Avery's mom, Katy, has shown Avery the beauty of giving back to the community through the nonprofit program she operates, Reins in Motion. When Avery was at his mom's home, he entertained kids at camps and has taken an increasingly active role at Reins in Motion as he's gotten older.
As Avery whispered to Troy on Sunday at the hospital "I will make you proud of me". Avery is working hard to that goal by carrying a 4.0 in his current undergraduate studies. He's set his sights on attending MIT, CalTech, UC Berkeley or UC Davis for engineering or computer science in 2021. But, to get there he's going to need a little extra help and support to navigate his college aspirations.
Any donations to Avery's educational pursuits would be greatly appreciated.
