Troy Rupe Relief Fund
In the early hours of the morning on Sunday December 6th, an unspeakable tragedy fell upon the Rupe Family.
The house that Troy and Cindy Rupe called home for the past 20 years caught fire. Despite best efforts, God called Cindy from her earthly body to a glorious welcome into heaven.
Troy was pulled out of the house by neighbors and physically endured only smoke inhalation. He is being released from the hospital this evening.
Troy and Cindy were active members in their community. Cindy often volunteered at a local women’s shelter and never met a cat she didn’t have room for in her heart. Cindy could often be found sitting on her front porch enjoying her plants and fur babies.
Troy has been a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Memorial Baptist Church, where he met Cindy, for over twenty years. His favorite weekly activities include lunch with his granddaughter Tatum.
Troy and Cindy just recently celebrated their 29th Wedding Anniversary.
The Rupe home was a complete loss, as was everything inside. Troy now faces the hardest task in his life: starting over from scratch while also learning to live without the woman he has cared for and loved these past 29 years.
In this season of giving, we are asking the community to show Troy that God’s love is never-ending. Please consider making a donation to help Troy through the coming months with clothing, medical costs, finding a new living space, and any other needs that may arise.
Any funds raised beyond Troy’s needs will be donated to The Spring Women’s Shelter in Cindy’s name.
Thank you for your donations,
Megan and Tatum Rupe
