Troy Hill Hate Crime Victims Fund
Donation protected
On the 4th of July, three individuals were assaulted in the Troy Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. To compound emotional and physical trauma, these victims now face extensive medical and legal bills stemming from the violent hate crime of the assailant.
The assailant—who had previously made threats and disparaging remarks towards the victims’ queer, BIPOC neighbor—exited his car and shouted anti-LGBTQ+ slurs at a gathering held at the aforementioned neighbor’s home. The assailant then violently attacked the three victims, resulting in the following injuries:
⁃ Victim 1: broken nose, stitches above eye
⁃ Victim 2: broken nose, broken jaw bone
⁃ Victim 3: broken nose, broken jaw bone, stitches under eye
All three victims were transported to the ER that night, and have consequently had numerous follow-up surgeries and appointments. All three are now building cases against their assailant, therein incurring mounting legal fees on top of their medical bills.
All donations go directly to the victims. The three victims tremendously appreciate any and all contributions to facilitate their recoveries and paying their legal fees after this brutal, hate-filled attack.
