Hi, my name is Lori Beth Day. I am the niece of Troy Easterling.
My very sweet Uncle passed away this morning.
He was a Johnny Cash + Dr. Pepper loving soul that always kept us laughing and smiling.
He has been one of the biggest lights of my life, teaching me that no matter how bad you feel, you can still be happy, positive, and a light for someone else and did all this despite the pain he must have felt.
Since birth, he has struggled with cerebral palsy and other health problems, has always been on a very low income because of this, and was not able to be approved for life insurance at any point.
At birth he was expected to live until age 10. He was able to spend 64 years with us and for that I am so thankful. I can't imagine if I was never able to meet my dear Uncle Troy.
When he was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, he tried to put back money for his own funeral, but he was only able to save $200, his cancer progressed very quickly and he didn't have a lot of extra money.
We are having only a very standard funeral for him, but we still need help.
All donations will go to Thacker Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements will be made on Monday.
I know this is the worst time of the year to ask for donations, please don't feel obligated.
My family is struggling and anything is appreciated, even if it is a share. Thank you so much.
