Troy & Carmen- rebuilding after their house fire

Hello! My name is Ashlee McManigle and I am the eldest daughter to Troy and Carmen Barth. Along with myself, I have a brother, Jonathen and a sister, Anna.

On Tuesday, November 8th our parents home caught on fire. This home has been apart of all of our lives for 15+ years. The memories that fill that house; the good, the bad, and ugly hold dear to our hearts.

Troy and Carmen are go getters and do not hardly ask for help. It has been heartbreaking seeing the devastation and emptiness in their eyes.

The insurance company hasn’t given my parents much for answers. They do know that pretty much everything on two floors of the home cannot be saved. The house will need to be gutted and rebuilt from the inside. With the cost of goods so high, the expenses have started to add up. Let alone having to heat their home this winter. So far in 1 week, 20% of their propane has been used.

I tell my mom “It takes a village to raise a family and it also takes a village to rebuild.”
