The Troxler family has recently been plagued with an unexpected life changing event. Tuesday March 3rd, Brandon suffered from a stroke and was flown to Harborview Medical Center. After having a multitude of tests ran, they found that he had a significant bleed, his speech was slightly slurred and left side had been affected. When Jennifer was able to get a hold of Harborview, she was told Brandon was stable, awake and talking. Although there was still a lot of unknowns, this was a great relief for the entire family! Jennifer and Lynn were able to make the quick trip over to Seattle Tuesday night so they were able to be with Brandon. Throughout all of this, Jennifer reported back that Brandon was still cracking jokes and showing his usual sense of humor!
Brandon is the type of person who has always worked hard for his family. He is always quick to lend a helping hand, or offer to watch his baby niece on his one day off for the week! Although Brandon works swing shifts, he always makes it to his children's sporting events, school functions, or family events when he is available. Even if that means skipping out on some sleep time! Any time off Brandon has, he is always out making memories with his family. From hunting, fishing, hiking, trap shooting and just hanging out, there is no question that he is a great husband, dad, brother, son and friend.
Overall, we are very optimistic that Brandon will continue to fight towards recovering as quickly as possible! Unfortunately, he will need to be in Harborview for a while yet. While we are extremely thankful and fortunate to have family in Seattle that have offered up housing for Jennifer while she is there for Brandon, there are still a lot of expenses yet to come.
Brandon and his family always do so much for everyone else, we want to help them in any way we can so they are able to focus on Brandon and his recovery. As of right now, Brandon will most likely be in Harborview for roughly a month, before he can come home and start his rehab. As a result, he and Jennifer will both be out from work for the foreseeable future.
These funds are to help the Troxler family with the upcoming medical bills, lost wages, food and travel expenses. With so many unknowns at the moment, we want Jennifer and the kids to know that money is not an issue! Anything you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated and be a huge help to the family!
