This year I’ve decided to take on the Bath Half Marathon, and two more races (tbc). Raising money for Trowbridge Boxing Club.

Our club has recently moved into new premises, which is a huge step forward for us and the young boxers who train here. The move gives us more space and a better environment to train, but we now need to raise funds to properly equip the gym.

Trowbridge Boxing Club provides a place for people of all ages to train, stay fit, build confidence and learn discipline through boxing. For many of our members it’s more than just a sport – it’s a positive place to focus their energy, learn respect and be part of a supportive team.

We are also proud to support members of the community living with Parkinson’s by running a dedicated boxing-based fitness class designed to help improve movement, coordination and confidence. It’s a great example of how the club supports people both inside and outside of competitive boxing.

The money raised from these runs will go directly towards essential strength and conditioning equipment for the gym. This equipment will help our boxers train safely and develop their skills to the highest level possible.

Running a half marathon will be a big challenge for me, but it’s nothing compared to the dedication and effort our boxers put into training every week.

If you’re able to support the cause with a donation, no matter how big or small, it would mean a huge amount to the club and everyone who trains there.

Every pound raised will help us create a better environment for our current members and for the next generation of boxers coming through the doors.
