TROUBARDOUR COFFEE FOR TREES FUNDRAISER
Donation protected
Hi, I am Ignacio Oreamuno and I created this GoFundMe fundraiser as a last means to keep my coffee dream alive .
Troubardour Coffee manifested as a business in the first months of the pandemic without any capital, investors, or loans, and for three years, I've been shipping and selling this very delicious shade-grown, honey-processed coffee in North America—selling it at farmer's markets, live music venues, local stores and direct to loyal long-term online subscribers all over North America.
I've made it this far by personally injecting money into the business through my practice of mixology, writing, consulting, and guided nature exploration. It's been a very beautiful experience and a major page in the chapter of my life, but I have no means to continue the coffee business on my own. While it might seem I have failed, I have done my very best with what I've had and I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far. I feel confident that this is just another challenge and not simply a dead-end.
However, of December 2023, we ran out of inventory and packaging. Without the resources to print more bags and order another shipment, I've hit a dead-end, putting Troubardour Coffee in an unfortunate paralysis and business coma.
I feel I'm close to a sustainable business breakthrough, but I need one more shot, a little push, and a bit more time. I have never advertised this coffee and I believe that the business will take off with a little momentum. The financial support I seek is business CPR so I can give it one more shot and start this fire.
I must raise at least $10,000 dollars so I can:
1. Keep the business alive into 2024.
2. Print new coffee packaging and explore the possibility of environmentally sustainable bags.
4. Send bigger and more cost-effective shipments by changing our cargo from plane to maritime. This will substantially lower the price of our coffee and allow Troubardour Coffee to better compete in the market.
5. Implement a new program where every bag sold plants a tree, indefinitely—thus changing conceptually the product sold from 'coffee' to 'coffee and sustainability'.
6. Distribute samples of Troubardour Coffee extensively in my network.
When we achieve the goals of this fundraising mission we are going to celebrate by offering a gift to nature and planting 2,000 fruit trees at our farm in 2024. One acre of our farm will be converted back into a natural forest, forming a natural corridor and habitat for endemic and migratory birds like the three-wattled bellbird. In addition, 1,000 of these fruit trees will be planted around our crops to provide more shade cover to the plants and provide more habitat for the birds that eat the bugs of our plants, which help us grow coffee in an environmentally friendly way.
The rules of GoFundMe disallow me from offering any gifts or rewards for support but please know that assistance to this project will not be forgotten, and it will be emotionally and spiritually appreciated.
If fate has it that I'm forced to close down this dream, then let it be so. However, I don't believe that I was given the gift of this beautiful farm, coffee, and story to have it end so abruptly. I surrender to destiny and hope that this message reaches the right people so we can continue this beautiful adventure in harmony with nature! Thank you. Gracias. Pura Vida. ! ☕️❤️
