Our old friend Tom Trott is battling ALS. He is confined to an electric wheelchair and can no longer speak, having to communicate via a text-to-voice device. The disease has progressed to the point where he needs in home care which isn't covered by insurance. The demands for in-home care will increase over time placing a financial strain on the family.

If you are able, please donate to this site to help offset the tremendous cost of in-home care. To give you a sense of the Trott’s need, here are some estimates on caregiver costs they will soon face:
    $5,000 (cost of four weeks of in-home caregiver services, 8 hours per day)
    $1,250 (cost of one week, 8 hours per day)
    $250 (cost of one 8-hour shift)
 
To make a significant dent, we need some donations towards the upper end of the chart. However, we understand that each of you is in different financial circumstances. Due to an overwhelming response, we increased the goal from the initial $25,000 target to a new $35,000 target. This extra money will allow the Trott’s to use additional caregiver services. They likely will need this and more. Thank you for your generous support!
