Hi everyone, many of you know Rosa, the kind of person she is and the terrible situation she is in, but for those of you who may have happened to find yourself here randomly or through a friend, Rosa was on a cycling trip in Northern Vietnam when she suffered an accident which left her with severe injuries to her spine, requiring emergency surgery. The picture above was taken only hours before the accident. Rosa is currently recovering from her injuries in a specialist spinal injuries unit in Hanoi, where she will be until she is well enough to be moved safely.

If you know Rosa you will know what a personality she is, strong(stubborn), positive and determined, someone who relishes a challenge. I should know as I’ve had a first class ticket to the Rosathon for the last three and a half years. Unfortunately this challenge nobody should ever have to face. So we’re asking for your help.

Since the accident there has been a huge amount of support from her cycling community here in Vietnam. I’m setting up this fund to share among her friends in Australia, and all over the world, so we can bring Rosa back to Australia to her friends and family, and get her the best care possible. Let’s get this absolute warrior back where she belongs, back at Triathlon start (and finish) lines, back to the wedding dancefloors, back up in the saddle of the hot pink bicycle that somehow emerged unscathed from the accident.
