Tropical Treehouse Reconstruction

On September 20, 2017, Hurricane Maria made landfall on the South coast of Puerto Rico. The apocalyptic devastation incurred upon the land and residents will linger for years, if not decades. Tropical Treehouse was not spared.
The main house survived. A wooden structure built to withstand hurricane force winds lost a skylight and a porch roof- designed to be sacrificial. The land- 12 acres of triple canopy forest and  bamboo, was leveled. Few trees survived.  The  treehouses- the master bedroom hooch, the sunset hooch, and the buddha hooch, were totalled. Designed as ephemeral architecture, they were not built to withstand the winds generated by a category 4 hurricane, though the master bedroom hooch survived hurricane
After refunding the outstanding hooch reservations made before the storm, our coffers have become depleted. A gofundme campaign is envisioned as a way to seek help from all our wonderful previous guests, as well as those who have yet to experience the unique treehouses. Thanks for the great reviews and the powerful word of mouth publicity.
We need donations to cover costs of building materials, hardware, tools, and basic survival-post Maria.  The bamboo can be salvaged off the land and will contribute a major portion of the re-building.

In addition, we are accepting donations of labor. Many people have offered to help in this effort, but we are anticipating a huge workload. We will provide housing and food- and some fun.
Initial re-habilitation of the land has started already, but actual construction will need to wait until we restore power and material inventories replenished.
Thanks everyone for whatever you can do. We need a place like the Tropical Treehouse to provide a place to reflect and appreciate everything we have.
