Troope carrier for Kangaroo Haven releases
Kangaroo Haven is a not for profit incorporation and registered self funded charity. Myself Mandy and my team of volunteers rescue, raise, rehabilitate and release orphaned and injured Kangaroos and other native wildlife in the East Kimberly.
Over the last 15 years I have successfully released 667 Kangaroos/Wallabies and/or Wallaroos back into their natural environment. When my beautiful babies are ready for release I need to hire a troope (which is not always available due to living in a small rural town) costing thousands of dollars each year to drive them to safe locations. One of these locations is 400km away from Kangaroo Haven.
The reason I need to use a Toyota Troope carrier is so I am able to sit in the back with my babies to ensure they are safe and comfortable in the air-conditioning. They also enjoy looking out the windows to see where we are going, this helps them remain calm on the long drives.
If Kangaroo Haven were to have a Troope carrier readily available to release my babies this would mean I am able to release more often, minimising un-needed time in captivity and save Kangaroo Haven thousands of dollars each year that can be better spent on milk, food and veterinarian care.
Therefore, I am asking for your help to purchase a Toyota Troope carrier for Kangaroo Haven.
