Hi, I'm Jen, a volunteer with Animal Rescue Force of South Florida, and I’m raising money for Trooper, a kind, resilient cat who urgently needs eye surgery(entropion).
A few months ago, a timid, un-neutered male cat wandered into a local cat colony. Though shy at first, he was welcomed with open arms and slowly began to trust the other cats—and us. Over time, he became a cherished part of the colony. He was TNR (trap, neuter, release) back into this colony. Obviously, he was somebody's indoor pet due to his sweet disposition. The danger of an innocent indoor cat when exposed to the outdoor environment is pure evil.
One evening, he arrived for dinner with devastating injuries, likely from a fight. Thanks to a kind-hearted volunteer, he was rushed to the vet just in time, and his life was saved. But now, he’s facing another serious challenge: a painful eye condition where his eyelashes grow inward (entropion), scratching his eyes and threatening his vision. During the fight he was infected with the FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This virus is NOT a death sentence but it affects their immune systems. It is NOT contagious to humans or other animals. PLUS, he has become diabetic which he is getting medication for daily.
Now Trooper urgently needs surgery to correct this eye condition and prevent permanent damage or blindness. The procedure is costly, and we’re asking for your help to give this sweet boy the chance to live pain-free and continue enjoying the safety and love he’s found.
Every donation—no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical care, recovery, and ongoing support. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Together, we can give him the second chance he truly deserves.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Animal Rescue Force of South Florida Inc.
Animal Rescue Force of South Florida believes all cats deserve a loving home.
Our Mission: Animal Rescue Force of South Florida, Inc. (A.R.F.) is a non-profit, all volunteer, 501(c)(3) animal organization that takes in homeless cats and kittens on death row in shelters, as well as owners' surrenders and strays, and then finds them good, forever, loving homes so that they don't have to die.
Our cats are kept in loving foster homes to ensure they are well-socialized and to help them more easily transition into their future new home. Each cat and kitten is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia and FeLV, and micro-chipped before being adopted. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, 100 percent of donations go toward helping the animals.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If your unable to donate, please share his story --spreading the word can make all the difference. Thank you for helping give Trooper the scond chance he deserves, and the clear, pain free vision to see the world again.
