Trooper's Journey: Healing and Hope
Donation protected
Beloved Trooper is one of the therapy dogs at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and over the years, has provided comfort, love, and care to countless patients, visitors, and staff. My husband Rich and I (April) have been therapy dog handlers with him from the start of his career and have witnessed first- hand the impact this furry hero makes with every visit. With all he has given to others, Trooper now needs our help.
Trooper was born a tripod (part of his forelimb missing), but that did not stop him from doing just about everything other dogs do. We recently learned Trooper has cancer in this forelimb and will need a partial amputation.
We have no doubt that throughout his recovery he will receive no shortage of cuddles, love, and treats, from his parents Randy and Michelle Greene and family. However, we don't want this financial burden to fall solely on the family when they have sacrificed and shared this incredible boy with the world. We are hoping to raise the funds necessary to provide Trooper with surgery and a prosthetic to get him back in the hospital where he can continue to provide comfort, love and care to patients, visitors and staff. Please help us make this hope a reality.
